Dear Friends:

My life as a Brain Gain Recruiting Partner, Sourcer, Researcher, Recruiter, Trainer, Speaker, Boolean Communities Admin, and Booleanstrings.com blog writer ends in December 2024. It’s been a happy run! I have enjoyed hands-on research, discovering new tips, and sharing them. Still, most of all, I have appreciated making close friends and connections – notably, with my Partners Julia Tverskaia and David Galley and #sosueu organizer Phil Tusing, who has facilitated a close circle of loving and sharing friends-speakers, coming together from all over the world. We have made great memories at 10+ years of Sourcing Summits.

Please watch my presentation from Sourcing Summit Europe 2022 (still relevant):

Irina Shamaeva – CREATING REAL TIME MINI PEOPLE AGGREGATORS.

Recruiters: you are left in the hands of the brilliant David Galley, who continues to deliver sourcing classes – see the schedule and Sourcing Training Library content on our site. Check out our latest book on LinkedIn Recruiting; consider taking a certification exam or subscribing to “everything” for a year. AI Recruiting has recently become the most requested topic.

My long-term business partner, Julia Tverskaya, whom I have been incredibly fortunate to have, stays with Brain Gain Recruiting and can help you source and recruit. Julia’s candidate acceptance rate is near 100%; I guarantee top-notch work if you hire her to fill any roles. Our site braingainsoft.com offers several sourcing tools, most created by Julia.

My new passion is AI drawing with Midjourney. It has been pulling me away from sourcing work for two years now. My portfolio is on Facebook, where my page The Prompter has gained 23K+ followers and 14K+ likes. I have founded the groups Midjourney Images & Insights. Share, Discuss Your Best Creations, Prompts (65K+ members), and Liminal Midjourney Exclusively (3.9K members).

My image below has won 1st place in digital and 2nd overall in an online contest.

I have published a book with Apres/Springer Nature – “Advanced Styles and Insights with Midjourney: Imagine Beautiful AI Prompts.” I plan to develop a training portfolio and perhaps a YouTube channel dedicated to drawing with Midjourney. We’ll see whether it’s a hobby in retirement or whether I can make it a new profession.

I got a red diploma with a Masters in Math from a top University, did well as a Software Developer, sourced for many tricky projects, developed unique content in the Sourcing Chapter, and got a large international following. But Midjourney has felt special to me – unexpectedly, I have turned out to be very good at it, effortlessly creating images in all sorts of styles.

I do hope to stay in touch with you, my “professional” friends!

  7. Hi Irina,

Unfortunately, we never had the opportunity to meet in person, but I have truly enjoyed our conversations within the sourcing community. I have always admired your willingness to share your knowledge without any hint of arrogance.

I wish you all the best in your next adventure.

    Best wishes,
    Martin
